Thanksgiving to Me?

Thanksgiving to me is a great oppurtunity to spend with the family to share stories, laugh at jokes, and play games. People now and days take everything for granted and don't accept the fact that not everyday is promised to anyone and you'll never know when that special someone won't be there no more. People need to come back to reality and be thankful for every moment you have to spend in this world with your family no matter how small or how big it is. As long as you spend it with a family member, relative, or friend you'll never be alone on Thanksgiving.
I picked this picture for Thanksgiving because it seems that  people think this is the meaning behind it. Some people these days think Thanksgiving is just eating a lot of food and taking naps. Well, it's not! This article I read, tells about Thanksgiving history and how it began. In my opinion, I think that if it wasn't for the Pilgrims to start Thaksgiving and Abraham Lincoln declaring it a national holiday every year in November, people wouldn't understand about being thankful for what you have and what you receive. You should be thankful for waking up another day, breathing, eyesight, hearing, smelling, feeling, walking, etc. Every day is a new day that you should be thankful for.
Most of all, you should always give thanks on Thanksgiving. Be thankful for everything no matter how small because you will never know how good you have it until you lose it. Thanksgiving is mostly abot seeing your relatives that you haven't seen in a year, sharing laughs, and playing games. Make sure before the day is over you have memories with your family so you will remember that your whole family was together having fun and spending quality time with each other. Just be thankful for everything you have and everything you receive on Thanksgiving and in the future. Give thanks to all for everything and anything. Just appreciate and be glad that you spent another Thanksgiving with your family.
