Is It Okay For Us To Improve Ourselves Artificially?

Is it that big of a deal to improve ourselves with plastic surgery, steroids, or even make up? I don’t think so. It’s your body so you do what you want with it. It’s your choice to do what you want to yourself. If spending money on artificial improvements is what makes you happy and feel good about yourself, then do it!
Some people take the subject religiously. “God created you the way you are for a purpose!” Yeah, okay. He definitely did. I can see where people get that. But, I don’t see the big deal about making a few things better about your self. Maybe if you were totally trying to change yourself then I can see the problem. Not if you’re just trying to look and feel good about yourself.
Many people go overboard with the whole “improving yourself” thought. Just fix a few things here and there and that’s all you should want.
However, as for steroids, it’s a whole new subject. Steroids are a drug that can be harmful. It makes people angry and it’s a way of cheating during a sport. It unnaturally improves athletic performance.
Now, you may say cosmetics and drugs are almost a way of cheating. Cheating the way of life. Cheating your way through getting and looking older. But, at least it’s fair to other people. It isn’t really cheating. It makes you feel better about yourself. A lot of people aren’t confident, why not let them gain their confidence back? Really, what’s so wrong with improving yourself if it makes you happy?
