Animal Expirements For Medical Science

After being read this statement, "Animal experiments are necessary to medical science," my first thought was no! It's just wrong, we could kill the animals for no reason besides something that's going to help humans get better. Apparently your life is worth thousands of other animals life's. NO! Many consider animals inferior to humans, but in reality humans NEED animals to survive. Some use them for food, others for a friend, even for transportation.
It's not right to test on animals when in the end people are the ones using the medical outcomes. Why don't you just test on people? If we end up using it I'm sure we should be able to test it on our selves. Now you may be thinking if the experiment fails you could be killing innocent people who aren't ready to die. But you kill innocent animals every day because of failed experiments! Animals are considered just as important as us, well they should be. In 1990-1997 research labs registered with the USDA reported killing at least 12,895,885 dogs, cats, primates, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, bears, armadillos, squirrels, wild rodents and other species. Another fact is that 22 animals die every second worldwide from animal testing.
In conclusion I would like to say animal experiments are NOT necessary to medical science. Enjoy your life while you have it, because like these sad, innocent animals it could e ended any day now.
