Why do people automatically assume that a heart is a symbol of love? You are probably thinking why would I pick this picture to show a symbol of love. Well, pinky promises can show different meanings for love. According to this article it states, "Whatever the origin, history seems to recognize that, while the finger is the smallest, It holds an important significance." I agree on this article about pinky promises because if you are in a relationship with your soon to be significant other I believe you guys should pinky promise your future together. Your love should be an important significance to both of you love birds and you shouldn't think you have to buy these materialistic things just to make your "love" special. You don't need to get a girl flowers just because it's Valentine's Day. Also, they shribble up and die. Just get a card and say something from your heart, that would really mean something to a girl. Don't get her diamonds because they are just on her finger relaxing and they cost so much money. My grandma always said, "You don't need to break the bank, just to make someone love you more." That saying really means something because you basically are spending money on buying HER some DIAMONDS just to prove you love her. I'm not saying you don't have to buy diamonds for her, but just make sure you tell her the reason why you bought them. Don't just say I love you so much so I bought this diamond for you. Prove to your significant other that your love is truly real because of your pinky promise that you made to eachother. You made a comittment that you guys both agreed on and would keep. Make your love special and really mean something in the end. Holding hands and kissing and telling the other person you love them isn't true love. It's when both of you make a commitment and lock pinkies together to really show you guys have something special. "I Pinky Promise!"
